Principals Welcome

Welcome to the Somerville Secondary College website. Our college is a relatively small, coeducational secondary college currently offering learning programs from Years 7 to 10.

At Somerville Secondary College we understand that quality teaching and learning takes place in an environment based upon the development of positive relationships between teachers and students. Our Pastoral Care Program is a key feature of our curriculum and is targeted appropriately for each year level. This strong pastoral approach promotes a positive learning environment and is complemented by our Collaborative Classrooms student management model.

Somerville Secondary College offers excellent access to Information & Communication Technology resources for students and teachers. All of our learning spaces are equipped with state of the art teaching & learning technologies. With seven computer pods, two computer labs and 4 mobile computer labs – students have excellent access to high quality ICT resources.

At Somerville Secondary College we have outstanding teaching and support staff with very low staff turnover. Carefully chosen Form Group teachers form the first point of contact for students and parents and are a key person in the education of each student.
